A fast growing real estate sales firm has has signed a large lease in a new North Dallas office building.
New York-based Compass has rented 24,000 square feet in the new Terraces at Douglas Center at 5960 Berkshire Lane in Preston Center.
Residential brokerage firm Compass’ new Dallas regional headquarters has more than 80 sales agents and plans to grow to more than 200.
"Our momentum in Dallas is a testament to agents’ commitment to growing their business providing their clients with best-in-class service," Rob Lehman, chief growth officer at Compass, said in a statement. "We’re excited to build out this office space to serve our agents and their clients across the region."
Compass – which has offices in more than a dozen U.S. markets – expanded to North Texas in 2017 with a smaller office in Oak Lawn.
Founded in 2012, Compass bills itself as a real estate technology company with its online marketing and sales platform for homes.
Compass says it plans to expand to eight more U.S. markets this year.
The real estate firm is one of the first major tenants announced in the 12-story office Terraces at Douglas Center located near the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Northwest Highway.
The 172,000 square-foot office building was developed by Dallas’ PegasusAblon and Lionstone Investments of Houston.
